Who is this class for?
This class is for all fitness and ability levels - from beginner to experienced!
What are the benefits of Functional Fitness?
Functional Fitness means getting stronger and fitter to complete everyday activities. It helps to enhance balance, mobility, stability, muscle growth and retention, bone density, coordination, and strength. It can also help if you are aiming to lose or maintain weight, or just want to tone up.
What happens in this class?
Each week will be a bit different - no boredom with this one! Class size will be kept small so everyone gets the guidance, support and encouragement they need - whether that's adapting exercises to your needs or giving you that extra motivation to keep going.
You will complete a variety of exercises ranging from body weight to using equipment, and others to help with heart and lung fitness. Some exercises are completed on the floor on mats. You will be shown each exercise beforehand and guided throughout by a qualified fitness instructor/personal trainer. You complete each exercise station for a set amount of time and then move on to the next.
STRONG Nation® is a form of HIIT training (high intensity interval training) that combines body weight martial arts inspired muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric moves synced to music that has been specifically designed to match every single move.
This is a full body workout and amazing for conditioning!!! Most of the class is body weight only, with a quadrant at the end using light weights (trust me, light weights are enough!). The class comprises of 30 minutes of high intensity training, followed by 15 minutes of stretching and flexibility. You'll be amazed at what a fantastic workout this is in a short amount of time.
Zumba® is a dance based aerobic exercise class for all fitness levels. I offer a variety of options from Chair Zumba®, Zumba Gold® (suitable for beginners or those needing a slower pace), and regular Zumba® classes.
Zumba® is a fun class with upbeat music and no wrong moves!
Don’t worry – we won’t be hitting each other in the face!
This is a group workout class based on boxing drills and conditioning exercises. It incorporates phases using gloves and pads where we get the heart rate up, followed by short rest periods, and also phases of high rep conditioning. This class is a great stress reliever and a fantastic HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout!
